We all know that mods can extensively expand the lifespan of any game. We take a look at some of the best Cyberpunk Mods so released far.
Cyberpunk 2077 modding is still very much in its infancy. Right now there is only so much that can be done with the game as there are no real tools to dig deep and make substantial changes. However, there are a few things that can be done and the community got to work and put together a few mods that could be considered quality of life improvements depending on how you view them.
It will take more time until we see some cracking mods appear so for now the mods below are worth a look if you’re wanting to make some simple changes to the way the game plays.
Our Latest Picks of the Best Cyberpunk Mods
Cyberpunk Autonomous Reshade – True HDR
Cyberpunk 2077 is a cracking looking game if you’re on the PC but you can tweak the visuals further with this mod. Reshader mods are highly popular and can really enhance the way the game looks. This mod effectively simulates HDR via the True HDR method and it’s effectively all the best effects rolled into a neat package to enhance your visuals.
Pro Controls
This mod adjusts the driving controls with a transmission system, as well as a few tweaks to keybinds, Car handling in Cyberpunk 2077 can be a bit hit and miss so this may be worth a look if you struggle taking those corners.
Better Vehicle Handling
Another vehicle handling mod which should make driving around Night City a little less frustrating. This solely focuses on driving, unlike Pro Controls. If you have trouble keeping the steering in check, this just makes things feel a little stickier.
Walk Key on PC
Not everyone likes running around, although most do like getting from A to B in a timely fashion. If walking is your thing then give these .ini file tweaks a shot.
Better Controls Menu
There are keys that should be bound but are not. This mod does exactly what it says on the tin, a better controls menu. Keys can be added for dodge to avoid double-tapping, slow walk again, change of primary and secondary action keys, also allows keybinds to the arrow keys.
The Future and Notes
There are more “mods” than this but to be honest, most are not that useful right now and many are just characters or saves. While this is to be expected at this stage, hopefully, better mod tools will appear and modders can really get to work on the game. With multiplayer some way off, fans will want to stay as engaged with Night City as they can.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more mods that pop up in sites such as Nexus and Cyberpunk2077Mod in the weeks ahead and we’ll update this list with ones we think are worth your time.
Also, don’t forget that assign with any settings/files is your responsibility so make sure you back up anything you change before you mess with the game. Mods can sometimes break things, remember that!
We’ll be keeping our recommendations updated on our Mods page which will be updated to keep a list of the best mods over time.
I think I will give the driving mod a go.
I can’t handle the vehicles well at all.
I just got Apollo’s Scorpion bike which handles the best so far but the car you get to begin with and anything else I’ve stolen are so sensitive and the tiniest of touches and it veers off the road and into something.
It looks like a drunk driving.
Login below to respondI installed that mod but I didn’t notice too much difference. The car was a bit stickier and slid around less. Might solve your drunk driving.
