There’s some departure news at CDPR today. A new Game Director has been appointed following the departure of Quest Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz this morning.
The new Game Director is Gabriel joined the studio in January 2020 as Cyberpunk 2077’s Creative Director so he’s certainly not new to the game. Prior to CD Projekt he worked on titles such as Dragon Age: Inquisition and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Gabriel takes over the Game Director role from Adam Badowski who is apparently taking on leadership duties at CD Projekt.
In other CDPR departure news, Hollie Bennett has also departed. You will remember Hollie presenting the Night City Wire episodes and she worked out of the UK as part of the community team. She did a solid job with those but with CDPR currently sorting the game out, she probably has less to do these days. No doubt she’ll pop up at another studio or publisher soon enough.
It’s been quite quiet since the v1.22 patch update and there’s still no sign of more fixes for the older consoles. It looks like it could be a slow year for Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully, there will be some DLC news in the next couple of months.
