Gamescom is finally wrapped up for another year. Sadly this year there was no visit to the wonderful Cologne but at least the show went on. Cyberpunk 2077 has scooped multiple Gamescom Awards as we suspected it would.
Cyberpunk 2077 was nominated in six categories, and by the end of the show today, CD Projekt managed to pick up five Gamescom awards.

- Most Wanted
- Best Role-Playing Game
- Best Playstation Game
- Best PC Game
It was not surprising to see it grab the Most Wanted Award, it’s the game everyone is talking about as we lead up to November. CD Projekt will be pleased to see it managed to win the Best Role-Playing Game as that is how they want the game to be viewed by gamers.
Awards Cyberpunk 2077 was also nominated for but didn’t win included Best Xbox Game, Best Action game, and Most Original Game.
Well done to the whole team at CD Projekt. Now, all we need to do is wait a couple of months and we’ll be able to sample it for ourselves.
