A week ago CD Projekt RED released the first official teaser trailer for their upcoming open-world, story-driven RPG Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s already been seen over 6 million times. The clip’s premiere was accompanied by a series of insightful materials, revealing even more details about the game setting. You can find the compilation of the most important ones here.
“Cyberpunk isn’t about saving humanity, it’s about saving yourself,” says Mike Pondsmith, in the video titled “Cyberpunk 2077 – Mike Pondsmith about Cyberpunk World”. This video explains his inspirations for creating the pen-and-paper RPG Cyberpunk system, which is the main foundation of CD Projekt RED’s video game.
“Working with Mike Pondsmith is a great experience for the studio. Many of the people behind Cyberpunk 2077 have played his game, and having his support is very important for us. It’s good to know what inspired him and what influenced his vision of the world. Our experience in video game storytelling and the technology , capable of building open-world games, combined with Mike’s vision will result in one of the most kick-ass futuristic RPGs, ” said Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED studio.

The creators of the game have released some new information about the world of 2077, which may play an important part in the game’s storyline.
