Cyberpunk 2077 Returning to the PlayStation Store

It’s been a long time coming but Cyberpunk 2077 is finally returning to the Playstation Store.

Cyberpunk 2077 was pulled from the Playstation Store on 18 December 2020 because, well, it was a bug-ridden mess and performance was particularly poor on consoles at the time. The removal of the game had a huge impact on CD Projekt’s reputation and financials.

Six months on and the game will be returning to the Playstation Store on 21 June.

However, there is a caveat, Sony is advising players to stick to the PS4 Pro or PS5 versions.

“SIE can confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be re-listed on PlayStation Store starting June 21, 2021. Users will continue to experience performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD Projekt Red continues to improve stability across all platforms. SIE recommends playing the title on PS4 Pro or PS5 for the best experience.” – Source IGN.

The return of the game will be some relief for CD Projekt and could also be an indicator that a new patch update will be with us around 21 June when the game is relisted.
