Cyberpunk 2077 mods allow players to change different aspects of the game. This could be quality of life improvements, visual improvements, or larger changes to the game. But what are the best Cyberpunk 2077 Mods?
Modding usually involves changes to the game files in some way and should be done at the player’s own risk. Always make a back-up of any files being changed and always read the mod maker’s instructions very carefully before making any changes.
Following the game’s launch, there was a lack of decent mod tools so it took a little time for Cyberpunk 2077 modding to find its feet. Since the game’s launch, CD Projeckt has released some mod tools which has helped mod makers’ progress.
Below is a list of what we think are the best mods to try now. This list will be updated regularly as new mods arrive on the scene every week. Bookmark the page and check for updates which will also be posted in the news.
The Best Cyberpunk 2077 Mods
New Digital Advertising
The advertising in Cyberpunk 2077 is not to everyone’s taste and it can seem a little oversexualised. There is an alternative, add in some real-life ad brands to your Night City advertising boards with this mod. Swap out the game ads for familiar brands such as Adidas, Amazon, McDonalds, and more.
Photo Mode Tools
Players have been rather taken with Cyberpunk 2077’s photo mode and Photo Mode Tools gives you a little more control over what you’re snapping. It allows you to freeze/unfreeze the look-at-camera animation and slows down animation to get the exact pose you want. It may sound overkill but for photo mode perfectionists give this a try.
Annoy Me No More
Let’s face it, there are some irritating things that pop up while you’re playing and Annoy Me No More is tackling some of those. This mod can remove things such as relic malfunctions, disable mantis blades finisher animation, skip call dialogue, no movement lock after high fall, no fall damage, jump improvements, remove walk / dont walk audio for crosswalks.
It sounds like there’s more to come so if any of this annoys you then grab the mod.
Better Mini-map Zoom
Let’s face it, the mini-map in the top right is a bit of a pain, especially when driving. Now with this handy mod, you can change the zoom.
Change your favourite Cars and Motorcycles
Perhaps you can’t be bothered finding all the cars/bikes and want to reskin your vehicles and change their look. These two mods will let you tinker with various aspects of the game’s vehicles.
Cyberpunk Autonomous Reshade – True HDR
Cyberpunk 2077 is a cracking looking game if you’re on the PC but you can tweak the visuals further with this mod. Reshader mods are highly popular and can really enhance the way the game looks. This mod effectively simulates HDR via the True HDR method and it’s effectively all the best effects rolled into a neat package to enhance your visuals.
Pro Controls
This mod adjusts the driving controls with a transmission system, as well as a few tweaks to keybinds, Car handling in Cyberpunk 2077 can be a bit hit and miss so this may be worth a look if you struggle taking those corners.
Better Vehicle Handling
Another vehicle handling mod which should make driving around Night City a little less frustrating. This solely focuses on driving, unlike Pro Controls.
Walk Key on PC
Not everyone likes running around, although most do like getting from A to B in a timely fashion. If walking is your thing then give these .ini file tweaks a shot.
Better Controls Menu
There are keys that should be bound but are not. This mod does exactly what it says on the tin, a better controls menu. Keys can be added for dodge to avoid double-tapping, slow walk again, change of primary and secondary action keys, also allows keybinds to the arrow keys.
TPP Mod – Third-person view
This mod is by no means perfect yet but there’s been a lot of requests for a third-person Cyberpunk 2077 mod. You will need to download Cyber Engine Tweaks to get this to work so it’s a two-step process. This is still a work in progress but worth a look if you want to tinker with third-person.
Climate Change
Fed up of sunny days in Night City? Grab this mod to make the city look a lot more like a post-apocalyptic drab place to live.
