CD Projekt has been working hard at localisation, and with so much dialogue in the game, it must be tough deciding what languages to cater for. Today there’s some good news for Cyberpunk 2077 Korean gamers.
A Korean version of the game was originally on the cards but CD Projekt at some point decided against it. Following lobbying from fans in Korea, CD Projekt decided it was worth investing the time and money into creating a localised Korean version.
The news was announced in the latest Korean version of Night City Wire. In this episode, CD Projekt CEO Marcin Iwinski announces the Korean localisation news and we also get to meet the actor playing the Korean version of V. The actor playing V, Kim, found it hard initially to bring the character to life because of all the swearing but over time started really embrace the role.
The Korean voices will not be ready at launch however, there will be an update released in December which will add the Korean voiceovers.
