Polish Consumer Protection Agency investigates Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Leaked

The Cyberpunk 2077 launch problems on the consoles have grabbed the attention of the Polish Consumer Protection Agency. They are now seeking answers from CD Projekt.

While the PC version has been pretty good despite some annoying bugs, the console version did not fare so well and was subsequently pulled from stores. The problems with the game are now being looked at by UOKiK, Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection agency.

In a statement from the agency they said:

We have approached the company to explain the problems with the game and the actions they have taken. We will check how the company is working on the introduction of fixes or solutions to difficulties preventing the game playing on different consoles, but also how it intends to act in relation to the persons who filed complaints and are dissatisfied with your purchase due to the inability to play games on owned equipment despite previous assurances from the producer.

The President of UOKiK may also impose a fine of up to 10% of CD Projekt’s income over the past year according to the report which appeared on Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

With the holidays now well and truly over, we will hopefully see further updates from CD Projekt in the days ahead. I would expect another update to roll out within the next two weeks. CD Projekt will be wanting to resolve these issues as fast as possible and try and get back in track in 2021.
