Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith dropped into James Cook University in Singapore and a video of his lecture has now been posted. In this video, Mike talks about taking an IP from a videogame and using it in other media.
The video below was also accompanied by a quick Q&A on the university site which also covers some Cyberpunk specific questions. Mike appears to have more ideas when it comes to the future of the Cyberpunk universe as this snippet from the Q&A explains…
Do you have the story mapped out beyond Cyberpunk 2077?
I do. I actually know where everything’s going to go and how it ends up.
Usually if you get into a game, what you see is what you get. But in this case, what you see is just the beginning.
We have a lot more options than you would normally have in a regular RPG (role-playing game), because a regular RPG is going to be limited by what you can show in the game.
While the video below does touch on Cyberpunk, he also talks about how the Witcher series is perceived around the world through different media such as books, TV and of course the game.
