It’s been a long time coming but Cyberpunk 2077 is finally returned to the Playstation Store.

CD Projekt confirmed that there will be backward compatibility on next-gen consoles earlier today. They also mentioned that there would be a free upgrade to a next-gen version but it’s not going to be this year.

Yesterday’s release date delay was disappointing and there’s been speculation that the delay was down to the release of the next-gen consoles. Today CD Projekt has reassured console owners there will be Cyberpunk 2077 console backward compatibility as well as a free upgrade.

While this is not directly Cyberpunk 2077 news as such, it is related if you’re looking ahead to the game on the new console. Although the game will be out in advance of the Playstation 5 it will be playable on the new system if you make the jump. Today Sony unveiled the console and a slew of new titles.
