The Witcher 3 getting a new Enhanced Edition

Some good news to end the working week, The Witcher 3 is getting an enhanced edition for next-gen consoles and PC. The even better news is that this is a free upgrade if you own in already.

Called the Complete Edition, this new version will include all the visual bells and whistles such as ray tracing. It will also load faster apparently. Any improvements are always welcome on a classic game and CD Projekt as always come through for fans by giving the upgrade free if you own it. There are plenty of devs who would have slapped a price tag on that for a few extra bucks.

Developed to take advantage of powerful video-game hardware, the next-generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.

The next generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available as a standalone purchase on PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, and as a free update for current owners of the game on PC, Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
